Come join us for a morning focusing on prayer and silence. In the midst of our busy world, it is sometimes good to stop and spend time in prayer with the Lord, reminding ourselves of who we really are, and whose we really are. Using centering prayer and looking at the lives of some Christians who practiced these disciplines, the Rev. Jonathan Bennett and the Rev. Richard Grimball will lead individuals to open as fully as possible the door leading to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, a journey that reaches into the depths of our humanity through hearing God's Word and listening to His will for their lives. Please email Jonathan Bennett if you plan to attend. All are welcome!
The Marriage Course is wonderful way to strengthen your marriage, and is a highly successful program that has been running across the globe for over twenty years. The course is for any married couple, whether they've been together for less than a year or over sixty years, whether they have a good relationship or are struggling. The practical tools are applicable to everyone, and will benefit all married couples.
The course will be held at our Daniel Island campus of Holy Cross, and will be co-hosted by Holy Cross Church and St. Clare of Assisi. Running for seven Friday evening 'date nights', the evening begins with a meal provided by Laura Alberts restaurant, and then moves into a time of teaching through a well crafted DVD talk, interspersed with plenty of one on one discussion with your spouse. There is no group discussion as we want you to be able to talk freely with each other.
The cost is $270 which will cover the cost of 7 delicious catered meals from Laura Alberts, and your course materials. While we do not provide childcare for this course, we can provide you with the names of experienced babysitters who will charge you a rate of $10 per hour. If the cost of the course is prohibitive, please contact the Reverend Jonathan Bennett (Jonathan@HolyCross.net), or Father Gregory West (GWest@SaintClareOfAssisi.com), to ask about scholarships.
Space is limited so please sign up as soon as possible.
