You Can Sponsor a Teacher in South Sudan for One Month!

The need for education in war-torn and impoverished South Sudan where 98% of the population cannot read or write is paramount, but with your generous support, a great and memorable impact can be made. You can join the campaign to reduce illiteracy, improve spread of the Gospel, and save the souls of the next generation.

To keep 70 teachers reliably in classrooms, provide scholastic materials and educate 6,500 children for one year will require $158.850.

The Anglican Diocese of Ayod in South Sudan and Bishop Thomas Tut are working to make a difference for the Gospel by trying to support these much needed teachers. $100 covers the cost of a Teacher’s salary for one month, $150/month for Deputy Lead Teacher, and $200/month for a Lead Teacher.

That means for the cost of a dinner for two, you can keep a whole classroom of children in school for an entire month. Even more impactful would be ensuring those students have a dedicated teacher for the whole year.

Imagine that because of you, a motivated teacher will show up each morning and stay until the end of the day for an entire year.
